Institutional Effectiveness at Pitt State

The Office of Institutional Effectiveness assists the entire institution in improving accountability, making informed decisions and achieving strategic goals. This website contains a wealth of information pertaining to the main areas of our mission (assessment and institutional research) and their connections to the processes of program review, strategic planning and teaching evaluations, which are also our responsibilities. All these areas support the university in maintaining its Higher Learning Commission (HLC) accreditation.

Mission and Vision

Mission

The Office of Institutional Effectiveness collects and disseminates information relevant to decision-making for strategic planning and improvement. This mission is accomplished through ongoing assessment, institutional research, and program review processes on campus; through the monitoring and reporting of performance indicators with the Kansas Board of Regents; and through accreditation activities at the regional, state, and national levels.

Vision

The Office of Institutional Effectiveness will assist the institution in achieving both its mission and its vision. The office will lead the institution in the integration of planning, assessment, institutional research, and program review to facilitate evidence-based decisions that support continuous quality improvement.
